@Sotaeko, Hi there's a bug that crashes the game mid-battle.

When I use the car and submarine medabots and transform them into car and submarine mode during battle and try to use any moves the game crashes, I think it's related to the patch files.

I'm using option 1 using LumaFS, copying romfs from your patch files data/game and data/update to luma/titles/titleid and using base game only. I didn't install the v1.1 update as it reverts text back to Japanese.

I didn't press A to save crash dump because I don't know what it does or where it saves the crash dump too, sorry I'm not good with this stuff.

It's crashing because you're attempting at using updated files with a non updated game....

well i tried it but only main menu was translated but all dialogue is still in japanese

There's a few things important to the battle mechanics left untranslated in the current patch version (1.1.1.).

These are the Medal type bonuses such as Kuwagata's Hunter type Power +8, Rate of Success (RoS) +8, Melee +10 and "1 Part broken: Increase Charge by 10%" which are helpful in determining which Medal type to use for your setup.

The leg abilities which are incredibly important in part selection are left untranslated too, although most descriptions for those can be found on the Medarot 8 wiki, there's a few new ones like the new Kuwagata and Kabuto models.

I can assume these will be included in a future update?

Also, I second the question asking where to commission or support a story translation. I'd do it myself, but the Godhand tool keeps giving me issues, like not being able to save work after making edits. If by some coincidence you know how to work around it, I'd love it if you could give me some pointers. If there's a better editing tool available, I'd appreciate directions as well.

Regardless, my thanks for the work done so far on perhaps the last numbered title in this long running franchise I've loved since childhood!

We are aware of parts not being translated, and currently taking time away to work on other projects we have going. The descriptions for parts or medals have not been completed yet. Try a hex editor for the story.

I've been having a world of trouble trying to get the updates to apply. I've done option 2 with the update.cia but none of the changes are taking place. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

UPDATE: I finally found success by adding all the files (game+update) to the update.cia using option 2.

He already figured it out, but the process is fairly easy and i still don't quite understand why you all struggle with it. The folders are labeled for good reason, and following the process is either 1 of 2 methods. 1. (Game layerfs) "THEN" install (Update as cia)... or 2. install as both (game and update) as cia (recommended individually as the folders are labeled for this reason). The game and update files both need to be installed, and mix and matching them will result in the game breaking or errors.

i had issue when main menu was in english but game still in japanese
