Hello guys,

I have some strange black road glitches in Mario Kart 8.0. The story:

I have an late 2013 Imac with these specs:

2.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 processor (Turbo Boost up to 3.2GHz) with 4MB L3 cache
8GB (two 4GB) of 1600MHz DDR3 memory
Intel Iris Pro graphics

I have an external (USB2) HDD with a Clean Windows 10 (BOOTCAMP). Here is everything running fine! No glitches or something.

I wanted to upgrade the HDD to a SSD with exactly the same installation as I did on the HDD (Windows, drivers and Cemu). Now on the SSD I have the black road glitches (everything is just black, unable to race). I tried copy over the Cemu 1.8.0b folder from the HDD and with a fresh Cemu 1.8.0b and 1.8.1b same result :(.

Does anyone has an idea? It's driving me crazy!

Thanks!

did you clone the hdd to the ssd? If not this sounds very much like a intel gpu driver issue. Either try to use the exact same driver as you used on your hdd install or download and install the latest driver from intel. Alternatively it has been reported that driver 21.20.16.4552 solves the shader cache issue.

I did a complete new installation with exactly the same handling. I did a Clone from my HDD to my SSD as you said...WOW thanks mate :) The glitch is gone! But I will try a new setup and try to find the issue, as you said I'll use another driver and will post it here what it was! Thanks mate!

Ok unfortunately the newest version 21.20.16.4552 (BETA) does not meet the hardware reqs :(. But the black road glitch is gone so I'm fine with that. I have some other random glitches but raceable :). Another question (maybe it's driver related); I have some random freezes/crashes while racing. Sometimes at the first race and sometimes 2nd, 3th or 4th race and it's a bit anoying. Do you know how to fix this? Thanks!

Yeah I imagine a lot of people wont be able to use that driver; intel drivers are a mess. It's been reported to solve some issues for some people though that's why I suggested it. At least you are back up and running.

Haha you're totally right it's a big mess. It was really hard to find the right driver for my hardware...it should not be that hard right ;). What do you think about the random freezes and crashes. Also driver related? Or could this be something else. Tried multiple things as clearing cache and stuff.
