ROM Hack Maplestory DS English Translation

Glad to see this is making more progress than my failed attempt did. This is truly amazing. At some point (note, summer break) I'll see if there is anything I can do, I am an old-school MS addict (especially good at Hunter->Bowman->Ranger info).

They've already made a tough translation, all there needs now is an edit and inserting the text.

I've compiled a patch using the unedited files from the SVN. Read the filetrip description please
To use this, extract everything from the zip file into a folder, run PatchExtract.bat and follow the instructions. Don't ask me why I wrote a bat to extract patch.bin, which is essentially a renamed rar file, it's like that so it's more User Friendly and so we won't get noobs saying
"HALP, WHICH BAT FILE DOES I UZE TO PATCH ENGLISH? MAH ROMZ IS TRIMMEDZ"

BTW, it uses twiztidsinz's Tiny DropROMHere script. Thanks for that.

I've decided to make the version number 0.03, so this release would be
version 0.03 BlueSnail

The naming system is the stronger the monster the more the project is nearing completion, so the 100% Perfect english translation would be named

so this version is basically a full translation but in broken 50% of the time illegible english? kool! so does "grandpa your looking girlfriend?" mean "grandpa, are you looking for your girlfriend?"

Interesting. I've never played Maple Story, but the fact that it was a side-scrolling MMO always put me off (I have a bad history with side-scrolling MMOs). Since this technically isn't an MMO, I might actually get into this.

PinkBean would be 100% because currently it's the strongest monster in MapleStory.

It's legible enough to understand. We just gotta edit it.

I patch the rom but nothing happens.

I think the patcher is broken. I had to create my own batch file to get the patch to work.

I suggest you guys use the clean patch. It's the only one that worked for me. So you need to redownload the rom clean of course

I used the clean patch, it did absolutely nothing. It didn't create a new .nds file, nor did it modify the original file.
