mine says ROM patched succefully but nothing happens. and its nstill in koreaN. eveN WITH THE CLEAN PATCH

I patched mine, but I had to make my own batch file.
You need to have the ROM in the same folder as the patcher:

xdelta patch NameOf.xdeltaFile "NameOfRom.nds" "NameOfProducedRom.nds"

Just put that in a .bat file (replacing the placeholders with actual filenames), and then run it. It should produce a new ROM (according to whatever you typed in the NameOfProducedRom place).

First you put your CLEAN rom of MapleStoryDS in the folder of the patcher. Then open up PatchExtracter.

Then you choose whichever one you have.
For this purpose I chose clean. After it should say Press any key to continute at that point just exit the window.

Then you just drag your CLEAN rom on "Drop CLEAN rom here" It should pull up a window that says that it's patching the rom. After a few seconds it should say ROM patched successfully. Press any key to continue. Just press space or any other key and there should be a file that is named "YourRomFile'sname-patched-bluesnail"
*YourRomFile'sname is the name of your file. Mine was MapleStoryDS so the patched file was
"MapleStoryDS-patched-bluesnail"

I did all that correctly. It's just that the new ROM doesn't appear. Even if I'm using the clean patch.

On-topic again: I'm in Perion (chapter 3 warrior), and she says \ [name: S_PC ] instead of your name. Iyan doesn't say anything either.

The actual translation portion is 95% done, I think. Most of the dialogue in the game is in the GLOBAL folder, but some of the text not in that folder is translated. Not all of it though.

Editing is going to take a long time, but I'm just glad we have progress. Especially now that we got frontpaged.

I think I'll work on editing too in June, after school lets out.

Shoot me a PM if you want to be a part of the editing team. Since we'll be doing it via SVN, thus letting me restore any changes made if some spammer decides to ruin everything, I think we could be a little more free about who is part of the team.

me too, patch not working. but i'm using a public computer so, maybe it has to do with .net files? you guys should really make something that doesn't rely on pre-installed software... not everybody has .net files that works with xdelta/someotherpatcher.

xDelta is a must for any NDS patch. We can't distribute the translated ROM on its own because it's still a ROM download, which is illegal. I don't think xDelta requires .NET though...

Try some of the instructions others gave on the last page (18).
