I just recently bought a NetBook (love it [IMG] ), and was wondering if you know any awesome apps or games to put on it. [IMG]

I have things like GTA, N64 Emulator, ZNES Emulator on it.

If you have a NetBook yourself, then please post the best game/app that you have on it. [IMG]

Yeah, if you're a hardcore computer user, they'll last... two weeks? Mine died at least a week after using it.

Yeah, I'm afraid netbooks are meant for the interwebs, and not much else. They're nice for their portability, though.

I guess you could download some emulators to use with it. I'll bet it'd be good with SNES games, if you've no alternative.

should be fine with N64 and PS1 emulation too

some of the PopCap games are pretty good and should run fine since they were made for women, who are more likely to have a netbook.

Popcap games are great (very low requirements): Plants vs. Zombies, Bejewled, Zuma, Bookworm, Peggle etc.

get D-Fend Reloaded which is dosbox with a graphic interface.

Yes, but I had to tone down EVERYTHING.
Resolution was like 320x160 and there was no background on the fights, just a grid

really? i have mine on 1366x768 with background on and it runs a 50+ frames according to the in-game fps counter, which i think is bogus. maybe closer to 30 frames, which still isnt too bad.

I bet you will just end up with a powerful 15'' in time. I used to be into Netbooks and used to install older less resource intensive games on them but after time I realised the compromise you make for the portability was just too much. Now I won't go less than a powerful 15'' and just use a pakuma rucksack if traveling with it.

However, I recommend the C&C Tiberian Sun \ Firestorm series, red Alert 2, C&C Generals, Halo and AOE 2.

be aware that they're are ION netbooks. they are not standard netbooks, as their 12 inches as opposed to the standard of around 10 inches. i was even able to finish crysis on it as well (albeit, everything was low and i was getting about 15 fps). if you really want a powerhouse netbook, get the alienware m11x. its 11 inches and can run most games 30+ fps on high settings.

but this is a topic about standard netbooks, so you can forget about sf4 and crysis.
