I'm trying to compile a list of games, compiled using the 5.x SDK or above that work on CFW. Through my own personal testing, I've noticed it's been very hit or miss, with some 5.x games not working and some 8.x games working (Seriously). An additional thing to note, is mention the region of the game you tested, as I've run into games that work in one region, but not another (Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: Curtain Call was compiled with the 6.x SDK in the JAP release and DOES work, but the US and European versions compiled with 7.x SDK don't) Here's my findings so far. List the game, region, and if you have it, SDK version.

Crashmo (US tested)
Fantasy Life (ALL) 5.x
Kirby Triple Deluxe (ALL) 6.x
Mario Golf: World Tour (ALL) 6.x
Mario Party: Island Tour (ALL) 6.x
Pokemon X & Y (ALL) (Saving is broken) 6.x
Retro City Rampage DX (ALL) 6.x
Sayonara Umihara Kawase (JPN)
Sonic the Hedgehog 3D Classics (ALL) 5.x
Space Harrier 3D Classics (ALL) 5.x
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (ALL) 6.x
Theatrhythm Final Fantasy - Curtain Call (JPN) 6.x
WRC FIA Racing (EUR only game) 8.x
Yoshi's New Island (ALL) 6.x

Not working:
Hatsune Miku - Project Mirai 2 (JPN only) 5.x
Puzzlebox setup (EUR tested) 7.x
Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal (ALL) 7.x
Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS (ALL) 8.x
Ultimate NES Remix (ALL) 8.x

Pretty sure most games 6.x and below (and a few above) should, minus games like Pokemon X/Y with special save shit.

I can say for a fact that Persona Q does, pretty sure Conception II and Bravely Default do too. All US dumps, all with a built-in system update of 5.x or above, but I'm not sure what versions of the SDK they were compiled with.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)

Easiest, simple way would be just restart scene, but player would restart from beginning.
