WIth the popularity of private gaming servers, it would be nice and beneficial to have a section on GBATemp (especially Linux). Steam has numerous games that allow private servers, but Linux support is extremely limited. There are other private server projects that are working off of 32bit Windows filesystem running off Linux. Again, extremely limited support. It can be broken into 2 subgroups Linux and Windows. I can make Tutorials for some to get it going if GBATemp want to explore that as an addition to the forums. Too many of the forums are toxic (site mods, some users) that do have Private Server sections. GBATemp is well maintained and properly moderated. There may be some projects that will not be allowed due to links that may violate policy. I don't think it would take much to identify projects that would be in violation. What is good, many of the projects requires end-user to get the client on their own for the files needed for part of the server to prevent violation of the forum's policy.
Just an idea, that is all
Any guides posted could be held till reviewed by a mod. I do have several private servers (non-steam) running and would be happy to help others.
Thanks,
