Yes, you can. Especially if it's an earlier version of Kazo's patch. Then it works even better. But that's the idea. Each time he releases a new version, you can just patch up your current ROM. No need to get a clean copy.

Dangit. I keep updating my rom with his translations and they keep freezing. The rudolf patch does not work. Im using R4.... Someone plz help me. That lame freeze patch does nothing for me.


Like every 5-20 minutes it freaken freezes.

Kazo.........Why don't u try ds lazy to fix it??? I have no idea how to use it my self but someone did it combined with one of ur english patches and it worked fine other than this black area appearing one time and if you walk in it the game freezes.

DS lazy makes the freeze spots visible I guess and eliminates majority of the freezing. But ur english patch is always getting updated and this guys patch is outdated.

just make sure your pokemon game rom matches your .sav file

I don't know why, but the game gives me black screen after pressing continue... this only happened when I patched the v3.. Aw... And I encountered another black screen while getting through the doors, that means the anti-freeze/black screen doesn't works?

the patch doesn't work for me.i always get a 0 kb file.patch 2d used to work for me.

i used a clean ROM and a 2d patched one.same result.

whenever i drag the rom over the patcher some quick lines flashes that i can't make out and it says "patching complete.press any key to continue ......." and when i press a key i get a file patched.nds which is 0 kb.what am i doing wrong?

I personally think it would be a mistake not to translate the main speaking parts, the parts you need to know to progress through the game. For people who haven't played the original i suspect it'll be quite confusing....but thats just my opinion.

Anyways, you're doing a fantastic job. Im very impressed at how quick this project is coming along!
