Hacking Just got my Card, can use some help

Hello,

Just recieved my R4 Gold Pro card. I put the kernel and patch onto it but cannot get it to work. I understand I need a DS with a lower version on it (mine is 6.0) is there any way around this? I do not have access to another DS.

No. You need to be able to run the cart in order to update the cart.

No you need to find someone to update the cart for you or buy another preflashed for your firm version

Invest in a DS Lite, which should be less than $100 (not sure about Canada's conversion), or take soulrazor's suggestion and buy another - preflashed to your version. I recommend the DS Lite option - because you can use that to flash future carts and because if Nintendo blocks your cart on 3DS - at least you still have a system you can play it on! Win-win.

Be careful. Don't buy a DS Lite from any seller you don't know or ebay. You can get refurbished units that have crappy build quality. Go to a game store.

Thanks, found out someone sells them in my city. Arranging to meet them to see if one of their cards will work on mine.
