Hey guys, I found a CIA for the Anime Channel but naturally it tells me my system isn't in the right region when I launch it. Does anyone know how to get this working on an different region system in emuNAND?

install it from eshop in emunand

It's EUR only... Not available on NTSC consoles, meaning it's not available in the NTSC eShop.

Since emuNAND is region free I was wondering if there was a way to get it working on NTSC consoles, or if there needs to be a specific region free dump which I'm not sure is possible.

Uh wait for Karl3ds or oska they will include region free so it will go with cia to i supose

I think you're a little new. GW allows region free, proof is that I have a EUR CIA installed on my NTSC system. I need to find a way after the app is launched to make it think my system is EUR and not NTSC. I think specific dumps need to be made for this compatibility though, it's not dependent on the exploit (GW vs KARL3DS vs Ninjhax) you're running but how the install file is coded.

Hm, didn't think about my originating IP and that's exactly what the message says reading it with that in mind haha. If that's the case I probably couldn't use the app anyway since downloads would be terribly slow.

I know, but do you get the error at the start or after the connection? If it's the first one, then you can try with your wifi off.

It's after connection. I received a different error previously stating it could not connect to the service. After refreshing it was able to connect, but then showed the region error.

Hate to be nitpicky, but there is no such thing as an "NTSC" region. NTSC is a video format (and isn't relevant to the 3ds in any way, shape or form). For the 3DS, it's EUR, USA, and JPN (and maybe KOR?).

But if you happened to tune a PAL Anime Channel into an NTSC system you would get a black and white image at best.

in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
