Follow up to the pizza cutting poll, where the conclusion was no it is not weird since Raulpica cuts his pizza using scissors and he is Italian.

What's a potato waffle?

In the US we just have "Waffles".

Anyway, No its not weird to toast waffles, it gives them a nice crunch, and is better than microwaved.

I prefer my waffles toasted... if they're frozen, that is. Fresh made is the shit though.

PS:
@moozxy - Nice Lurch (hot fuzz) reference

"Yarp"

The closest I've seen to that is a potato pancake. Which is..well, kinda like a hash brown, but...rounded. Or something.

I think that putting these waffle things in the toaster is perfectly normal. Yay crispy!

Never heard of anyone doing it before but in theory it makes sense. As long as it cooks in the middle. Probaly nicer under a grill though, crumpets go rubbish in a toaster so by that logic these'll be worse in one too.

To the Americans in the room and those not familiar with the pure genius invention that is the Potato Waffle: imagine putting chunky oven fries in your toaster. Yes, fries. It's a giant chip in the shape of a waffle.

So in conclusion yes, you're a weirdo.

(Edit: wait a second... don't these things cook from FROZEN?!

Thats the only way to do waffles! I love waffles! I've only ever had potato waffles once..apparently they are a rare foods to come by in australia. Kinda like real Twinkies and Marshmellow Poptarts.

See, my housemate did this... and i was like WTF THATS WEIRD. and got a bit concerned that it might defrost the waffle in a weird way........ and like, screw up the toaster with water.
but actually it was fine, they cooked quickly and tasted good.
