I was curious as to whether or not it was possible to homebrew other people's 3ds remotely, because a couple days ago i was playing Ice Station Z, and i overheard a hacker promising to hack the other player's 3ds through their friend code.
* Starts SafeB9SInstaller via Streetpass → Could run anything with highest privileges including brick code
* Patched on latest firmware versions
* I don't know if something usable was ever released
* Local wireless attack, not through internet
The current method for hacking 3DSes on latest firmware requires another person who has a hacked 3DS to be added as a friend so they can dump some of your console data and brute force an encryption key which is later used to run the CFW installer on the unhacked 3DS, that's probably what they were talking about
