Misc Problems with Streetpass Mii Plaza!

Hello everyone!
I tried to update my Streetpass Mii Plaza a few days ago. The update was downloaded via eShop servers.
When the update was installed, everything froze. I had to force shut down my 3DS...After trying to launch it from home menu, everything froze again.
The problem disappears after deleting the update data...
Question:
How to fix this and run the game with the update? I really want to play new games on plaza...
(I wrote in a lot of forums, and no one gave me any clear answers, I'm so desperate! this is my last hope..)
P.S.
if you download the update via hShop, the problem remains the same, I tried

That's very uncommon. Does it freeze on a black screen, or at some particular point?

It's always possible your SD card is failing, since that happens frequently and can cause many mysterious problems. Does anything different happen if you remove your SD card?

Also, is your unit region-changed?

I bought a used console, it was already homebrewed, and honestly I don't know anything about this.. I need detailed instructions to find out and not do anything bad

iirc they broke the ability to update streetpass using the legit method so you will have to use something like 3hs to update it

try going into recovery mode,

1. Power off your console.
2. Hold (Left Shoulder) + (Right Shoulder) + (D-Pad Up) + (A)
3. Power on your console.
4. If you were successful, the console will boot to an "update your system" screen.

update your console (MAKE SURE, you are on the current luma update) and tell me if that works,

even if it doesn't work, it wont brick it unless you are not updated to the latest luma ver.

I couldn't find video for o3ds, but it works on o2ds.. so it should work for 3ds too
