Is it inappropriate to email a teacher to ask her to attend an event your in?

Honestly, the Teacher-Student Relationship is scary. Thus with social anxiety, it's very hard to know whats right and wrong and not freak out about it... That being said I will be obtaining my black belt in June. Last year I had a teacher that was very supportive of all of her students and her and I were close by "Teacher-Student" Standards. That being said I am not quite sure where I should draw the line... I don't want to get into trouble and most important I don't want her to lose her job.

The reason I want to ask her is that she was very supportive of me and my training and seemed to show interest in coming to one of my "graduation" events. I am really torn on what to do. Tempers please help me with your wisdom!!!

That's not inappropiate at all. As long as you ask it politely, just do it.

In my opinion, she will tell you she can't go. But it doesn't mean it's inappropiate to ask.

It's not inappropriate at all as long as:
A) You two don't end up in a dark or secluded room alone together (Very unlikely in your situation)
B) Neither of you make romantic or sexual moves on one another

I feel like I shouldn't have to say that, and that it should be self explanatory. However, that line isn't always drawn (Though in this case, there's a 99.99999999999999999% chance the line is drawn) and someone may believe the other is making a move on them.

TL;DR: It's not inappropriate. Everything will be fine.

If she is interested in attending then you're not asking her to come, all you're doing is telling her when it is.

Is she your teacher now, or was she your teacher in the past?
In some places, current teachers should not socialize with students for ethical reasons. That includes trading private phone numbers, adding as friends on facebook, and so on. It has nothing to do with sex, but favoritism and the fact that you are teacher and students, not friends.

But again, it depends on how it's viewed in the society you're a part of. In Sweden it's not okay.

However, if she has been supportive of martial arts before, you can for sure invite her to the graduation event. I wouldn't count that as socializing, more than having a teacher support you at an extracurricular event, basically.

But this is just my opinion.
