IRC with no program?

    Sooo, how can one talk in IRC on a computer they arent allowed to install programs on?

    Some irc sites like Efnet (which #gbatemp.net is on) have there own web client. So for example to go on #gbatemp.net then click this link and click on #gbatemp.net and login. A lot of irc sites should have there own irc web chat so you do not have to download a client. There is another easier way but i can't remember it, sorry.

    i think there is a web client for some servers

    type in channel and nick, and you can chat

    Or you could try PortableApps? They are programs that require no installation, they just run straight from a pen drive (or other USB drive).

    Opera has a built in client (tools > mail and chat), and u can download one to run in firefox

    if u have one of those installed
