Recently I bought a used wii u mainly to play Zelda games but also to play all the other games I have missed on it. My intention when buying it was to to "things" to it. To start off with I wanted to run the pandaonsmack trainer but also would like to run games from an sd or hd. I have not tinkered with these types of things in many years and I am a tad lost. I was starting to figure out some things when I decided to find the sd port on the wii u and to my surprise found an sd card in there...On this card there seems to be many files relative to what I originally wanted to do.
How do I know what has already been done to it? Do I keep the setup the same? How to I start the games I see on the sd card? How to proceed installing pandaonsmack trainer? So many questions...Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I really don't want to brick this thing. I don't have any backups of the way it was before running any of the things on the sd.
My wii u is running 5.5.1 and came with the sd card and a copy of gt proseries for the wii(does that help load something?)
Attached is a shot of what is on the sd.
Thanks for any help guys

"vWii bot .dol"
he probably bricked vWii...
Well, it's not prepared for even a simple homebrew. Use our guides [My redNAND-free guide is in my sig]
I suggest using wiiubru.com/guide to setup homebrew on your SDCard [And to get CFW]

The only "permanent" hack is CBHC. If the previous user ran any other hacks they will vanish on reboot. You could just format the Wii U (as long as you don't see anything about autobooting on the gamepad at boot time) and SD then follow our guides from scratch

Nah it just goes to the wii u menu. So if I proceed to format it I can just use Felek666's guide in his signature as mentioned and all should be ok? I assume there is a way to keep my saved game of botw? I'll search for that.
Thanks for the help
Going to proceed with this in a few days after carefully reading the guide

Mhm. You can dump your save with Saviine or SaveMii. You don't need to format, just softmod it and enjoy.

I will forgo the formatting then. I just wanted to make sure it was safe to go ahead and start from scratch considering the sd card full of stuff. Thanks for the help.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.
