The guy who sells it would like to format it beforehand, but it seems he can't do that without updating to 3.61. Is there anything he can do ?
I'm new to the VitaTV hacking scene, so please excuse me if it has already been answered somewhere else ; I'm still a bit confused... (Maybe "AccountSwitcher" would be useful ? Or even VitaUpdateBlocker, but i'd like to be sure...)

Thanks !

It seems weird to me that you wouldn't be able to format without an internet connection.
Then again, I've never had to format my vita.

You can still do a system format without having to de-activate the system (that is the part that requires updating to latest firmware). You just have to decline de-activating and you should still be able to follow the steps from there.

He can turn off the vita, boot it into safe mode and there is an option to restore the vita (4th).

This will wipe his account from the system without connecting to PSN ;)

Even tho this is shown in a vita. I believe this works on PS TV too.

Yes hold the power power button for 30 seconds on the pstv when it's off

This will bring up that safe mode menu above and do a restore with Internet off

are you using haxchi, tiramisu or aroma?
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
no, I'm asking which one of them you are using
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
there is a plugin that display them on the wii u menu, pretty sure it is enabled by default
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    so like it doesnt exist
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    yeah
    ?
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
it doesn't exist, at least not for aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    ohhhhh
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
on tiramisu you can access it by opening mii maker
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    okay
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    nope
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
    it is L+dpad down+ select
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
but homebrew is appearing in the home menu btw
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
    yes, now I remember it
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
then it is working, I also don't like that they did this but it is the only option you have if you are using aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
i just didint know the homebrew launcher didint exist in aroma
  • crafthp434 @ crafthp434:
