Those infinity engine games were highly customizable on the PC. Has anyone already digged in if that's possible on the Switch versions as well?
For example I'd like to add/replace more character portraits (want to include images from Octopath Traveler to rebuild the party from there in Icewind Dale). :)

I just transferred my saves from PC to Switch with Checkpoint successfully. Custom portraits worked too, so there's a possible work around: create characters on PC, transfer them to Switch.

Wow really? That's amazing news! So theoretically I could even import my PC character this way, that I leveled up.
Thanks for finding out!

Edit: This means I could even import a savegame, where a character has an "infinite" bag (edited with DaleKeeper). Gotta try this when I'm done with Luigi's Mansion lol.

Edit 2: @asimo5 could you share an Icewind Dale savegame here that you have created with Checkpoint? I'm at work right now but would like to dig into it and see what I can do with DaleKeeper. :)

Edit 3: DaleKeeper was the old tool. The ones for EE is actually called EE Keeper.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
