You can test the recovery menu without bricking your wii
If you want the worst brick (the reparation is impossible) delete the system menu or the IOS that the SM uses

just test it without banner brick by just booting twilight with recovery... and i had a banner bricking wad, but i deleted it...

i just made a channel for the homebrew disc channel... you could test that if it bricks or not

normally it shouldn't but i can't test it now and cause you don't mind bricking

sent you the wad that I originally bricked my wii... it has a bad header, uses lz77 compression which is a mistake...
