Hacking I accidentally used the xkey iso menu on my xbox, am I screwed now?

Mine still works on Live. The only problem is I'm so uninterested in 360 games that I never play it anymore. The graphics seem so dated and none of the good games come out for 360 anymore. One of these days I'll muscle through some of the gems I missed, but honestly it's just gathering dust now. I had a 12 month Gold subscription that runs out next month and I've barely touched it all of last year.

I was thinking of selling it. I don't trust my soldering skills enough to do RGH, I'm still sitting on a PS2 and modchip that I'm not game enough to solder on. I really wish I could get into 360, but now that I have a decent video card for my PC it's just so hard to enjoy 360 games. It seems like most of the good 360 games are also available on PC anyway.

Honestly the ps2 chips are much more difficult to solderbthan the glitch chips. There are a lot more connections to make and they're significantly smaller than on the 360. Just to give you a heads up

Yeah I looked at some guides for PS2 chips and there's a lot of wires that need to be certain lengths. I don't know if I'm capable of doing it, but I'll never use the PS2 otherwise so I should try. Or try to find someone else to do it for me, ha.

Well if you aren't worried about accidentally stuffing it up, then go for it. Its a good learning experience anyways

I wouldn't be surprised if you'd pay more for the chip then the PS2 ;'D

I should maybe stock up on them just to practice on. I did buy three chips because they seemed to be pretty cheap. I had it in my mind that I would expertly chip mine and then offer to chip my friend's PS2s, ha.

Chips allow too load your copy/homebrew/import by simply putting it in the disc tray like any normal game and it auto boots. No menus, no swapping (even for cd-r's) and imports.

Honestly though unless you have a super steady hand and have pristine soldering skills, its not worth the risk of botching something. Reason being is the solder points are so friggin' tiny on the ps2 mono, its not even funny.

If you decide to give it a shot, let me give you some pointers:

For the BIOS points DO NOT solder directly to the IC legs, regardless of what the diagram shows you. The legs are very close together (easy to bridge connections) and the legs are fairly easy to damage by accidentally overheating them. Instead, flip the board over and solder right to the corresponding solder joint. Electrically the joint and the leg are exactly the same. You're less likely to do damage that way.

Also try to keeping your wires as short as possible to prevent unnecessary interference "ground bounce" its a common occurrence with ps2 chip installs when the wires are too long.

Not to mention you need to constandly burn it on a CD/DVD.

In all honesty, FMCB and SMB game streaming or HDD loading (Phat only) are the best.
Hell it even has USB loading with OPL.

i have a slim 360 in pieces that has been sitting here for years
i opened it up when the russian hack came out the one where you needd to drill or melt through the drive board chip flash it
once i found out i had the unflashable chip and the boards sold out i gave up
i never got into t 360 scene so do you guys recommend xkey over wassabi?
do you still need to buy other shit to dump your drive fw like a porwer supply and other stuff with both ,i know one can dump or or something too but i think it still needs other stuff

Pretty much the only solid and reliable ODDE.

You do need a compatible SATA chipset to pull the DVD key from the DVD.
If you already obtained the key you don't need the flashing hardware anymore.
Just convert it to a retail dump in Jungleflasher and put it on your microSD of your Xkey.

so then you need to buy other xecuter stuff then like a drive power supply
and probably better to but their dumping tools usb pro or whatever ? i cant remember the names of the power supply and the sata dumping tool right now it's been so long
i think the wassabi has the ability to dump with the sata but you still are recommended to get a separate power supply to dump
if i remember it say you can get detected if you use the console to power the drive when you dump

I always flash my drives this way, never been banned. Just be super careful as your console will be running (live current/voltage). Do at your own risk (as always)

Out of ease and having flashed idk how many DVD drives, I prefer a connectivity kit.
Less of a hassle and less of a mess on the desk.
Also quicker and lesser chances of it going wrong.

Then again, using the 360 as power source does work, but not adviced.
