Hacking How To upgrade FW 3.2U to 4.1U?

hi seniors,

I'm currently on 3.2U Korean wii flash to English

Had HBC and Neogamma installed

I want to upgrade to 4.1U to play the latest games, is there any guides to upgrade safety ?

Just install wads of IOS60 v6174 (NOT v6400) and System Menu 4.1U in that order.

edit, just saw u have a korean wii now... u can use my app, but make sure u download the files for 4.1U, not for 4.1K

Don't update to 4.2 as it will brick your korean wii. Also you may want to consider installing an ios60-v6174 patched to install as ios70 with a 5 digit version #, just in case your friends or kids try to do you any favors.

Why would that help AT ALL?!?!??!

It would prevent the Korean 003 brick if your buddy screws you and updates your wii online.

Oh.. so upgrading to 4.1u doesn't helps to play newer games?

Right now i'm unable to play new super mario bro, FF, Wii Sports Resort and even Virtua Tennis 09..

My wii is hard mod (Not sure of the mod chip) and soft mod with Neogamma 7rev 14 i think. Sorry, i'm confused by those ios, Cios..

That is why i thought upgrading the firmware will allows me to play those games.

Thanks for the reminder.. =) i was told not not to install to 4.2 and most importantly not to do online updates.

I forgot to mention that i have already installed cios installer36rev15 and Cioscrop v3.6. Will there issues if the files that i downloaded from your link overwrites the existing IOS that i installed from Cioscrop? Sorry, kinda of confused here..

Just update Neogamma to 8 RC1 and install cIOS rev17. That's all.

So i assumed i can just install over my older neogamma 7 > something like windows software update e.g Office 2002 to 2003 ?
Then finally install cIOS rev17 ?
