Hi all, I have a wii on version 3.4e that has a wiikey installed and was also softmodded years ago with various ios files that i dont remember.

Am i better just upgrading online to 4.3e and then following a softmod guide to update everything?

Will the ios slots be ok to just be overwriten with new ios files from a new guide?

Thanks in advance for any help

Yes, overwriting cIOS and IOS modules from the guide is recommended. Having a modchip is nice too since you can still boot imports and backups. Do also install PriiLoader and BootMii as boot2 for extra protection against bricks.

Hi, i managed to sort everything out fine ios and system update. I installed bootmii as boot2 and now everytime i boot the wii I have to quit out of bootmii to boot to the normal wii screen. Can this be changed to time out after a few seconds, i have edited the bootmii.ini file and set it to this

# Autoboot delay, in seconds:
# Default is 5
BOOTDELAY=5

but it doesnt seem to make a difference.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Hi all, just to let you know the bootmii.ini file just needed

AUTOBOOT=SYSMENU

adding to it so it would boot that after 5 seconds

Thanks all
