but it is still untested because I'm on vacation I don't have my Wii U with me.
So help me test this please

1. go to content/res & cut these folders Fontjp & Msgjp somewhere for backup purposes
2. go to content/res rename Fontus to Fontjp then Msgjp to Msgus

try it and report it to me

try just copying the ARC files of the (original) Fontus folder to the original Fontjp folder

you could use a CFW (custom Firmware) which has region free so it wouldnt matter if it JPN,US,EUR it will boot

We know that, we aren't trying to boot the game but being able to play it in English on a JAP WiiU.
This game is one of the nintendo games that are locked to the WiiU language no matter what version you have.

Yep if only it was that easy the Japanese wiiu only has the option for Japanese you can't change the language in settings. Do you honestly think people are so fucking dumb to not have thought of doing that if they could.

I found a Chinese patch to get the game running in Chinese, which may give some hints on what files need to be replaced

Here's the patch:

Files they replaced include:
1. /content/res/Fontjp
2. /content/res/Msgjp
3. /content/res/Object/LogoUs.pack.gz
4. /content/res/Object/Title.pack.gz

(also they added DecompressedSizeList.txt and FileSizeList.txt under the folder /content/, I'm not sure if they are relevant)

So...Maybe we need to find some way to edit the two .gz files?
