You can get an n64 emulator for retronx now.
If you don't mind playing games at 8fps :P
At this point there's no perfect solution for N64 as all N64 emulation seems to still have major flaws.
This is one of the reasons why some N64 game carts are insanely costly after all these years imo

wii64 had pretty bad compatibility though if you really want near 100% compatibility everdrive will always be the answer even pc emulators struggle on certain games

I want to thank all you guys...Ill make up my mind soon enough.. depending on how a few games work on the Wii, I might stick to that and get an N64 controller.....but if I get that itch I know the ever drive will be perfect.

is that a homebrew app too? are there any downsides to using it vs retro nx?
You need to launch it through one of the many linux loading payloads. You cannot boot it from Horizon, or SX menu.
The downsides are you have to be at a pc everytime you want to launch it (unless you have a custom payload launcher/dongle). Also, it can cause issues with the screen.

RetroNX, since it runs through hbmenu, has no hardware acceleration (for the time being), thus if you want a playable emulator, lakka.tv is the best way to go.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.

There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.

Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
