How can pair a japanese gamepad to my australian wii u?

I bought a japanese gamepad it was cheap 40$ and i bought it as a replacement for my australian wii i know its reigon locked so im asking if i can pair it with homebrew?

Yes, Aroma includes region free gamepad plugin by default.

If you run udpih and its recovery menu, you can pair it even if your console is not hacked

There's a thread about udpih, just read it to know how to run it.
