Gaming Hotspot Issue

Hi. I have Googled around for this but i can't find anyone else that has had the same problems.
I am able to connect my 3ds and switch to my mobile hotspot just fine. They can download updates and browse the Internet just fine. However, they both refuse to play online games. 3ds playing mk7 won't load the online menu, however the switch (splatoon 2) does connect in game, but when i try to join a match it gives me:
"2618-0516 Unable to connect to the other user's console. Please try again later. "

Here is more info:
Samsung S7 (Hosts the hotspot)
AT&T(ISP in this case)

I believe this is an issue with AT&T and not how i host the hotspot, because using it as an extender works just fine.
What should i do?

Also please move this question if it's not in the right place.

Probably the speed of your data

My data can stream 1080p video fine in most places. Don't think thats the issue.

Wouldn't recommend using data for Online Play,
