Halloween gaming recommendations

should be rather short game(s) (like 2-3h max.), could be retro, but not Resident Evil Gaiden - I'm really desperate for good suggestions atm

Night in the Woods is longer than that (Google says 10 hours) but it's really good, very autumnal/halloweeny, and you should play it.
