Not sure what happened, other then the kids having access to my Wii U!

So I hacked it a long while ago, I remember nothing.

When I boot the Wii U, it says CBHC v1.4 fix 94 (DS title 10179B00) Autobooting....

And then it loads up the screen that just says Wii U Menu and stays there.

On the game pad, i can get it to show quick setting screen, but selecting any option will make it say the WIi U Pad say discounted from Wii U.

Help please!

I don't know for sure, but I'd imagine the autobooting thing is a part of the rom.zip (the rom used for haxchi/cbhc), so it's probably not the result of formatting. my guess is that either the software is corrupted or it's hardware failure. the first one sounds more likely. I'm not sure how it could've happened unless someone was messing with ftpii u everywhere. this is all a guess though.

press home when it says auto booting. go to the homebrew launcher and see if that launches. you may want to unplug the usb drive (if you have one) and see if it boots that way.

Ok so that worked, I booted to the homebrew launcher, I just don’t know what to do next to fix this or what to do from the homebrew screen.

I also tried rebooting with my USB and still had the same issues.

Regardless should I be updating the software? I have no idea which guide to follow to update it to something current based on what I already have installed.

Update: so after going to the homebrew menu and then pressing home to exit, it actually got through the Wii u menu loading screen and I could load a game, the game pad was no longer stuck on quick settings.

Problem is that when I power off and back on, same problem occurs.

I believe you have to turn off the quick settings menu. I could be wrong but I thought I read somewhere that you have to disable that feature.

try uninstalling cbhc with the cbhc installer.
This could be a bad idea - if the problem isn't the hack itself then it's for real dead, I'd say update to 1.6 so you'll at least have the same method now plus the possibility of fixing it.

Read the post on how to install it, I think you can just update by running the installer again. eMMC might have gone off though - it's not impossible...

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
