Hmm possibly recovery menu doesn't use any bluetooth at all... I've removed the bluetooth module but I was still able to boot into recovery menu.

Possible cause of black screen may indeed be bluetooth module and possibly this wii also have 003 type brick...

ps: anyway, either need to tear the guts apart of my working wii or find a cheap bluetooth module replacement.

yes recovery menu still boots even bluetooth module is defect.

The bluetooth module is cheap, and they can be fixed with a programmer. If the wii does not have the 003 error when the module is fixed, it would have a cios70-v6174 installed.

So replacing the module by hand is not enough?Or you are talking about fixing the broken one? What kind of a programmer is this?

You can replace the module by hand, that would fix the issue if it was a bad module. I was just saying that those modules can be reprogrammed and used again. You may be able to send it to someone who does that.

i have a mariokart usa in my hard drive but it is in wbfs format, can i convert it to iso then burn it so that i can use it to fix korean 003 errors?

If only the almighty giantpune will share how to fix this with a wode. I have 2 friends that bought el cheapo Korean Wiis and updated due to shop channel telling them to do so. I have a wode so i guess I'm the only one who can help them (and giantpune of course). No patched IOS36 on their system either. We really need a way to boot SSBB from recovery menu.

Not sure if people who have a WODE know the latest WODE FW (2.5A or 2.5B) doesn't have
the "autoboot" function (was removed from FW 2.1) .

In order to enable the 'autoboot' function of WODE , one way is to downgrade the
FW to 2.0 or lower (I have tried and confirmed OK) then u can turn on the autoboot
from WODE in order to start a game from the recovery mode.

The alternative (if u don't want to downgrade ur WODE FW) is to use a tool
(like "BootMe") to modify ISO to be "autoboot" . However, u can't use the
way to modify SSBB ISO. It will cause an error when you tried to boot the
SSBB disc (or start the ISO from WODE)

From the video of giantpune , I saw he used the "Flat Mode" of WODE to load
SSBB-U. My guess is he used WODE FW 2.0 or lower (can turn on autoboot).
What I don't understand is why he got the "region mismatch" error when he
tried to start the SSBB-U ISO from WODE directly. Don't know if the reason
is WODE still treated the 003 machine as the KOR region ??

I don't have a 003 machine to confirm the process (although I have a WODE).
Hopefully someone will make it soon !!

in giantpune vdo , he use modify SSBB ISO to make autoboot SSBB disc.
if you can make that iso you can autoboot SSBB

24c32 comes in different sizes. the one in the picture is DIP type

Well I've just bought a fresh new bt module for the problem I depicted here.. Since I am no good at soldering possibly I'll purchase an already constructed programmer. Thanks nonetheless..

Copy your Super Smash Bros. Brawl PAL ISO to /003
Copy Super Smash Bros. Brawl USA ISO to /003
Rename your Super Smash Bros. Brawl PAL ISO -> ssbb-pal.iso
Rename your Super Smash Bros. Brawl USA ISO -> ssbb-usa.iso
Navigate to folder /003
Run StarFoxUSA-PWNS.bat
Let it do its thing
Burn on good Media. Dual Layer media for ssbb-pal.iso, such as verbatim dvd + or minus. I have had good luck with verbatim dl dvd +r 8x and verbatim dl dvd -r 2.4x.
Burn with ImgBurn, @ 4x, set the layer break to - 2084960
Burn ssbb-pal.iso on good dl disc
Burn starfox-usa.iso on good disc
Use a gc controller to enter recovery menu via savemiifrii
Insert the starfox-usa disc, the game boots -You will need a classic controler
Let starfox load to the title screen, then press [HOME] on the wiimote
Eject starfox-usa and insert the ssbb-pal disc
Press [Reset] on the wii screen
Your game should reload into the ssbb demo vc menu
Press [HOME] on the wiimote, Press [Reset] on the wii screen
Your game should reload into the ssbb title screen
Go to the stage builder, delete any custom stages, go back to the main title screen
Insert a standard sd card, 1-2g, non sdhc with Smash Stack PAL on it

Extract to a folder on your PC, say /003
Copy your Super Smash Bros. Brawl PAL ISO to /003
Copy your channel installing game, or disc swap game iso to /003
Rename your Super Smash Bros. Brawl PAL ISO -> ssbb-pal.iso
Rename your channel installing game, or disc swap game -> channel.iso
Navigate to folder /003
Run MarioKart-PWNS.bat
Let it do its thing

Copy your disc swap game iso to /003
Rename your Super Smash Bros. Brawl PAL ISO -> ssbb-pal.iso

Let it do its thing

When you autoboot a SSBB PAL the disc id changes from RSBP01 to 0SBP01. In this case you have to save the exploit in the "0SBP" folder (not RSBP).
