Hello, i would like some suggestions on which platformers play now that i've finished new super mario bros.

The closer it gets to mario the better i would find it.. is there some other great game like that?

PS: playing now kirby but its touch oriented, so its not really that kinda of style.

Thanks.

Megaman ZX/ZX Advent are great platformers.

Ivy the Kiwi? is also a really fun platformer but it's also touch oriented

Shantae: Riskys revenge.
Neither have I heard of this game before nor is it listed in the official release list.
What game shall this be? Is it homebrew?

Other platformers:

Batman - The Brave and The Bold
Castlevania - Dawn of Sorrow
Castlevania - Order of Ecclesia
Castlevania - Portrait of Ruin
Chronos Twin - One Hero in two Times
Contra 4
Ed's Farm

Original's pretty good if you can't play the DSiWare Shantae. Lameboy fucks it up though and gives it severe sound glitches and slowdown (slowdown makes the game go from full framerate to like 1-5 frames a second for about 5-10 seconds) if you go from the title menu to the game, from the pause menu to the game, press pause in game, or anything else that makes the game stop for any reason. This sometimes also happens when switching levels. Meaning you'll get around 7-8 minutes of play per 9 or 10 minutes of slowdown/glitches

Henry Hatsworth The Puzzling Adventure is pretty good. It's like Tetris Attack and a platformer in one!

And I did the stupidest thing with it the other day. Apparently if you do the soft reset combo for Acekard (L + R + A + B + Down) just the right way on the save screen, it deletes your save file. -.-"

Giana Sisters. Very good game .

I second this. When you play it, you'll be amazed at its awesomeness and wonder why you had never heard of it.

Although it may not be necessary, I most certainly second third this.

Also, N+ is a neat little platformer, and quite the tough one at that!
Henry Hatsworth is a great, varied, and challenging one, as well.

EDIT: Whoopse, looks like everything I said here has already been said by previous posters. Oh well. These great games are worth repeating anyway.

I think that might just be your microSD...mine works at regular speed except for screen changes (where it lags for maybe a second or two). It works totally fine when used on my R4 with a 2GB (no slow down) and only minor slowdown at screen changes as I have just said on my 8GB and an EZVi.
