Hacking Getting a HDD, few questions.

Alright, so i plan on getting this HDD for Christmas, i'v been looking at people's experince with it and it all looks good, the question is, i'm sure i read that FAT32 partition's can be read now, so if i format the 500GB to FAT32 will i be able to use it just as a ordinary external and use it for Wii backups? And it all looks pretty easy to get working, install a few IOS's and you're done, i plan on using USBLOADER GX.

WD Passport Essential is fine, cIOS Rev 13 and above fix the spin down issue's and yes you can leave it Fat32, it will be already Fat32 as both my WD Essential and Element was
Me personally i left 50gig as Fat32 and the remaining i formatted to wbfs

So what's the disadvantage of having FAT over WBFS, i'm on CIOS Rev14 aswell.
