So, it's me again, this time with an even kookier idea, a Pokémon Showdown Tournament for GBAtemp members.
What is Showdown and how does it work ? well, let me explain.

Showdown is a battle simulator for PC you can play online against other users on it's website, it offers a huge variety of options, from different Tiers, to random battles for every Gen. you can build your own custom pokemon teams via Teambuilder, Fight other users, use the chatrooms, and so on, the best part is, it takes all of a minute to register a username and password, and that's it. unlike other knockoffs, Showdown is very well thought out and balanced, with each "Tier" having it's own rules and pokemon, you can use pokemon from lower tiers too, but now from higher. for more info...just check it out.

GBAtemp tournament info and rules.
  • The Tournament will use the OU Tier.
  • Battle format will be Singles.
  • Maximum of one Legendary per team.
  • Maximum of one Tapu per team.
  • At most, one of each Pokemon per team.
  • Mega Rauquaza, Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre are banned.
  • Neither player is allowed to force an endless battle.
  • To sign up, leave a comment below, comment must contain your desired username. signups, expire after one week. people who signed up will be randomly matched against each other.
  • In order to prove who won, upload a replay of your battle here, this is done by clicking "upload and share replay" once the battle is finished, then posting a the link to the replay here.
  • Once signups are concluded, you have one week to battle your opponent, battles that aren't finished by then are disqualified.

Minor detail, but you're saying it'll use the Anything Goes tier whilst ruling out the only reason AG exists. You've also not defined Legendary, nor the battle format (singles, doubles?). You need to put a little more thought into this, else you won't really instill hope in others you're capable of properly running a tournament.

  • NinStar @ NinStar:
in that case, there is no such thing as homebrew launcher for aroma
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
you have to launch your homebrews directly from the wii u menu

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
