Yes, but it's still in development and doesn't work perfectly yet (although most first party games do). The app that runs nds files is called SRloader.

This guide has been updated following ugopwn's release. This means you no longer need a pre-existing exploit!

For now that only works for USA consoles. Sudokuhax should have not been removed

This guide is still usable with sudokuhax, all you have to do is substitute the ugopwn steps with opening Sudoku.

Plus, sudokuhax isn't obtainable by anyone who doesn't have it already, so more people will be able to use the guide now.

    Successfully downgraded and flashed Sudokuhax.

Tested it in NO$GBA first, and it crashed the emulator (as it should) after clicking the title screen, so it worked there. I flashed the nand back to the DSi XL, tested it with fwTool as boot.nds, and it worked! :D

And just so everyone knows, I bought Sudoku from the 3DS eShop a year ago to hack my girlfriend's N3DS XL. I opened FBI, and dumped the 00000001.app to the SD card, and used it. After patching it with Lunar IPS, everything worked as intended!

So if you have Sudoku on the 3DS before it got pulled, that version is confirmed to work!

    Glad you got it working!

Just a quick note, Sudoku is still available on the 3DS eshop for purchase. The version that's on the eshop isn't exploitable, but the ips patches I attached to the main post patch it back to the exploitable version.

If sudoku isn't on your launcher something's wrong with either the tmd or the .app version. Also what do you mean when you say Zelda won't open? If it crashes in No$gba that means the exploit is working correctly.

So I followed the guide for downgrade and I'm uncertain about the downgrade part. When going to settings the first time on no$gba, dsi crashes. Then I reset it and it is still on 1.4.5. If I use the decoded without modifications, the crash doesn't occur. Is what I did correct?

You definitely shouldn't be crashing on system settings, I'd start over again with a clean backup. It's normal to still see V1.4.5 on system settings after downgrading, but definitely not for system settings to crash.

If it just has two white screens it seems something went wrong, you should either get an error that forces you to close No$gba (in which case the exploit is working correctly) or you should just boot into the game (in which case you installed the game and not the exploit). It seems like you might have not transferred the save file that contains the exploit into your game, and it might be frozen on a white screen because it sees no save data. Try re-doing the instructions where you add the exploit's save file.

I initially followed the guide to download my system to 1.4 using dsguide.me . The resulting nand image booted up fine in No$gba. It also show that I am on 1.4U. I decrypted the working nand to follow your guide to install Sudoku. I've went through the process twice but Sudoku is not present on my home screen on No$gba.

After dinner: Third time is a charm. Gift box is now present on menu in no$gba. Guess I was more hungry than I thought. Thank you for your guide.

Hey, I downgraded, installed sudokuhax, and installed some other games aswell, but I have a problem with the other games I installed, they wont save or wont load because of a corrupted save, anybody know how to fix this?

For the saving issue, just put a blank public.sav file in the content folder. You probably added the game but not a save, which makes some games not work.

Either your ticket or .tmd file isn't present.

Yeah, try to to make it the same size as one of the exploit saves.

If you keep getting errors try using this:

That didn't work for me, but I did install a cia version of one of the games to my 3ds and made a save, and got it from the TWL nand on 3ds and put it into my DSi nand and it worked.

Does anybody know if it is safe to get rid of the DSi shop?

I am unable to follow step 36 in section 1, I just get:

(I used four swords as the title)

'dsi-srl_extract.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
