Have you tried running it under Wine?Ichichfly, do you mind making a port of the patch maker to Mac? My main computer has a corrupted registry and my uncle currently has the installation disk for Windows XP. So a Macintosh is all I've got.

My computer can't support Wine. It supports QEMU (barely) so the best I can do is take a hellishly slow PowerPC G4 Mac and emulate ReactOS on it which would be even slower. And even then ReactOS uses Wine so it may not work after all thatHave you tried running it under Wine?
If you had any other associations in the associations.ini, that's the only thing that would be overwritten. Also, if you renamed the included HBMenu.nds file, you're going to have to change the associations.ini with the updated name as well. Also, the patch is manual. It's not going to automatically start, you have to select the patch.pat and then the save then the ROM.

He's half right. The DS is not powerful enough (3x the power of GBA, iirc) to emulate the GBA. This "emulator" is actually a hypervisor. You don't need to emulate the GBA's processor because the DS and GBA both have an ARM7.My brother a tech-savy guy says that "this will never work, the hardware is incapable of supporting this without an expansion or a specialized flash cart."
I like to be optimistic about these kind of endeavors, but what are your thoughts on this?
My computer has Mono, but how do I run the exe with it? Do I need source code?you should be able to run it with mono as it is written in C#
more infos would be niceOff the top of my head, Ruby crashed and FireRed whitescreened at the start, but I can get more info tonight.
no you don't need the src I don't know how to use mono. I use mostly Windows only exception BT and a live DVD but they are both Linux not MAC OSMy computer has Mono, but how do I run the exe with it? Do I need source code?
I used newirq for these tests. Selecting to use DEFAULT.PAT didn't do anything. All settings default except Save Type was of course Flash 128K.more infos would be nice

Both Ruby and FireRed whitescreened after the following appeared on the bottom screen.
It's worth mentioning that I'm using an Acekard 2i, but that has never been a problem before.Code:CPULoadRom...generating file map (size 262152 Byte)OK CPUInit CPUReset BIOS_RegisterRamReset dmaCopy arm7init irqinit emulateedbiosstart ndsMode gbaInit gbaMode2 jump to (02134000)
The sounds emulation improved with beta1 test1, but Ruby doesn't work right now. Also, I don't know if it even helped Ruby.has anyone got ruby to work perfectly? like the graphics are perfect and sound has no missing channels?
also i press y twice after saving but it says the save has been deleted when i reset which is the biggest problem for me.
i am using the alpha2fix4

As for saving, have you tried using the European ROM?
yeah i tried the E one. it just says the save has been deleted. i save it when i am in the van (in the game) and press y twice and turn it off then go on the game.
Not at this point in time.is it possible to play 2 player on pokemon? like with a friend.
Beta1 fix1 is technically the latest; however, I don't recommend upgrading, as it seems there are major compatibility regressions. Is alpha2fix4 still the latest, or have any improvements been made recently?
