Homebrew gbaemu4ds: GBA emulator for DS(i) (DSi Entry)

Is the graphic better if you use the sc Version and the upper screen on a 3DS

  • I can't do that (have no 3DS) (have not tested that)

I'd really like to try this in DSi mode because of the improved speed. Is there currently an exploit to unlock it without the Cyclo DSi flashcart.
As Schlupi said, Sudokuhax. But I'll clarify a little bit.

You used to be able to get an unpatched Sudoku by EA on the DSiWare service. Then you got a PC program which injected your key information (from your Sudoku file copied to your SD Card) into their hacked Sudoku game, which you copied to the DSi and ran.

I'm kinda confused by this, but either only around 234 people bothered with it (there was no SD Card access then) or they discontinued their injector service, which makes it physically impossible to get Sudokuhax.

anyway,
stat() in dirfolder() has to be absolute path (including drive such as fat:/) or proper chdir() is required.
It seems stat() is failing.

gbaemu is saying my slot2 is G6 or EZ.
It isn't strange at all as my slot2 is M3Ext:
If slot2 is unlocked, 0x08000000 is writable, so it is recognized as EZ because EZ check is at first.
If slot2 is locked, M3Ext seems to behave as G6 after cart initialization, so it is recognized as G6.

1.i think i disable the ui because when i call stat() also the malloc after free fail

2.i don't know how i can fix this but thanks for the bug report .
I will focus on the speed improf now.

Many people still think it's impossible to emulate the GBA on a DSi, i still think it's possible but not with a common emulation.
Virtualization is the trick of the success.

Let's hope ichichfly is on the right way to accomplish that.

I wish him best of luck and he can count on me as a beta tester.

If you haven't noticed, running the emulator takes up some of it...thus it loads around 2MB on a regular DS and at max, around 14MB in DSi mode...in other words, you can't run anything except the simple GBA games and have it jut around extremely slowly. Since it is totally pointless trying to play a game on it anyways, you might as well stick with testing out homebrew, which are generally a lot smaller than that limit anyways.

ähm, when we take the dsi?
the dsi have more ram, isn't it so?

And the dsi has exact 16 mb RAM

We already can. Use Sudokuhax or the CycloDS iEVO.

No, i'm mean with the emu.
I don't will buy anywhat.

I will play gba games with the emu.
I propably hack any pokemon games, so that they are smaller and load it up here.

(Sorry for mei bad english)

You need something to load the emu with, thus the need for the iEvo or the Sudokuhax. Not everything is free for starters
