Not necessarily, for all we know they just want to check other users 3DS's. The crash would just be a check to see if they can actually do it, for all we know they could be about to release.

But he could at least provide the instructions as to what happened or what he did up to that point.
That might help out to make another webkit exploit for the 3DS.
