I've tested the following contacts and they all work, I've tested the connection for the ribbon cable off of the zif pins when the button is pushed down, are there any other test points I should check? The button, ribbon cable (existing and new one I bought just in case), and zif all work, I'm thinking it's something further upstream but I'm not familiar with this hardware. Any advice most appreciated.

Checked the mic, that's not working either.

So I have a multimetre and I've been performing continuity tests. As I mentioned above they all work as expected but I can't seem to find any other connections outside of these. The points marked green are ground and their continuity tests positive to the charging port and SD card shell (nominally).

Has anyone done a sand down and mapped the tracings of the new 3ds xl?

No solution but you might get something out of it.

Yeah I have the same broken functionality, I think this is an issue not with the zifs but perhaps power delivery to the components? I'm not sure as I'm not well versed in microelectronics and I'm hesitent to do anything destructive with my console.
