Homebrew Gameshark on VBAgx

Is there any way to load Gameshark codes on VBAgx, people are telling me to use the save feature on VBA on the PC and then load that on my Wii but all i get are incompatibility errors

best way i can think is patching the rom directly, tantric has shown no interest in bringing cheat codes to the emu

I would second GBAATM but I will also note if the emulator has debug features or you do then you might be able to edit those instead- similar to how some cheat makers edited the emulator memory at OS level rather than rely on cheat support in emulator. It might take being a bit creative and hold values might be tricky but the gameshark code itself should provide just about everything you need once you locate the location of the GBA's emulated memory section.

It is open source, someone can just add cheat support if they want to.
