Ok, it's just that I made a (obvious) string dump of the data files, and there was a lot hensei references :

anyone played till the mission , i can read some kanji, it says "begginer's test" im not sure what to do, the knight who appeared at the start reappears and make u chooses 1/5 choices, he summons monster, anyone know?


Edit : okok i got it, u need to kill all the monsters in 3 rounds each of ur guys get to attack 3 time

Depends on your card etc? What are you using? but since this is a translation thread, could you move this question over to the original FFTA2 release thread?

About a patch, I don't think so. The reason being this game is pretty much guarantied to have an english release, so the effort it takes to make a patch would pretty much be wasted. We'll see though, if enough people are interested, and we get people with the needed expertise it might happen.

Edit: Where in tokyo are u? I'm in kanagawa, right outside tokyo

I took about 142 pix last night, most of them story driven, i thought since there aren't that much menus, maybe we can atleast have storyafter first few engages, to get people know whats going on, but I dont expect you guys to translate them all, or atleast edit pix yourself with translations.

I want you to first translate the pix from gameplay (there are like ~12 pix) and then If you have time and there are no new uploads, translate story driven ones, i'll seperate the story driven translations from gameplay in next uploads/downloads.

Seems like a waste of effort for a game that is obviously getting a good translation in the near future, especially for those not really learning Japanese, but who want to play FFTA sooner. There's plenty of English games to keep one busy, including Shishi Sensou. You're going to lose a lot of nuance in a quick and dirty translation.

That said, I'm progressing through the game and filing the words I don't know, mostly the fantasy/war related terms, mostly with JEDICT definitions. The file has the problem that words I do know aren't in it and words I know in speech but don't know the kanji for are only listed by their kanji and reading. Once I get a reasonable amount into the game I'll post the file, if anyone's interested. I'm not going to do any extra work beyond my own studying and progress, but I'd be happy to throw the file up.

This translation project is pretty cool, but there is another group doing a translation that is going to really kick ass.

Yeah, eventually there will probably be an english version of this. Thats why I also said that there probably wont be a patch or a full translation.
