Fairy tales and children media seems to go hand in hand.

Fairy tales tend to give us stories that seem like they belong in a distant land with magic and dragons and knights. But this isn't so far from the truth the original fairy, right? the Bible. Jesus, the handsome prince who comes to save us from the devil. The dragon. He slays the dragon himself. A task we should have done. All to save the frail damsel in distress. In other words, us. Why? because like the prince loves the princess, Jesus loves his children.

Children' media often takes this form. to teach something. But there should be enough meaning that the adult reading the story gets something out of it to. If there is no message in the story, there is no meaning and absolutely no reason to expose our children to it. If there isn't an important meaning to the story, its a moot point. We don't (well all of us who didn't enjoy Napoleon Dynamite or any of the "non discript word goes here" Movies) watch pointless movies and certainly don't read pointless books. But...

...For those of you that do...

Here's a link to a very well written satirical web page. WARNING: This is Maddox. He is crude, crass, and doesn't mind throwing around the "F" word like its a hot potato. But if all you do is watch the video, you'll see how our movies are being ruined but our lack of class and a yearning for truth.

Btw, i love the complete turn of events that grandpa brings to the little girl's life in the short film,"Colour Forms". Her parents are so "grown up" and proper, she needs some fun. Their lives are without color. But the little girl sees it and so does grandpa.
