This is going to be entertaining.

You think this is funny? I've turned my 3ds wifi off, installed all my games as cias, set up 7 proxies, already hired a lawyer to defend me when Nintendo sues, turned off my front porch lights, triple locked my doors, and replaced my regular fedora with a tinfoil covered one

Did you make sure to put the tin foil on the inside of the hat? It's much more effective if they don't know you have protection installed. ;)

Seriously though people, if you have at least one legit online game, you should use the header. (If I'm correct in assuming any online header will work)

As of now I'd say stay offline completely until more is known of how/what Nintendo is doing.

For all we know Nintendo isn't detecting if a 3DS is using a header that many others are also using at the same time, but instead detecting if the header being used is the header for that game/cart/rom so using a legit header from legit game X on all your roms may not solve the problem at all. Has anyone with the technical understanding of how Nintendo's online system works commented on this issue yet?

To what extent Nintendo has the capacity to detect mixed/shared/mismatched headers has always just been speculation.

Hopefully playing retail carts online with emuNAND doesn't trigger a ban. This also has me curious about using offline games in GW mode and checking your friends list, etc.

Need to import a Jap online game. Recommend me one! Then I gotta put the header in to all of em. Oo

Or can I use an American header on Jap games?

Sorry, I have no experience in replacing headers or anything like that, the only games I play online are retail carts. I've really only used GW to play 1 game so far and it's been offline.

From what I've gathered from reading other threads, you can use cross-region headers, but we don't even know whats triggering bans yet. It could be invalid or mismatched headers for all we know.

Edit: If you HAD to import one, I guess I'd go with that fly Final Fantasy Explorers, that's just me though.

I hear High School DxD is popular with the pervs. Not sure if it is online though.

This is why the majority of my games are CIA games as they don't use headers. The only ones I do use in 3DS form is my personal copy of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire I dumped my self. I did copy the header to a Omega Ruby rom though for my randomizer. But I don't expect issues since I can't really have both running at the same time anyways. :P

I really hope it's just a header thing, I'd be pissed if I got banned for playing my hard copies.

CIA users, keep us posted on ban status. We'll figure this thing out eventually.

Lol Nintendo are just going through the sky3ds template file bannning the headers in it. If you use the same header with any other device or flashcart etc you will still get a ban. Must be their way of hurting sky3ds users because they haven't found a better way to stop and patch them out.

That is my guess anyway.

I personally think that they might be detecting duplicate headers that are online at the same time or something like that. Otherwise, I think we'd be seeing a shitstorm of "plz help i got banned :(" threads.

I used a public header long ago on Smash Bros time. It wasn't exactly public, someone made a japanese personal dump of the rom on their japanese blog and I extracted that one. Luckly I'm still unbanned, I'm checking everyday on my friendlist thing.

In any case, I'll delete all .3DZ on my gateway and just play with .CIA

I play from retail carts online with classic mode emunand and I'm fine B-)

I hope that it stays this way, I've only been playing in classic mode as well.

Edit: I saw on a spanish forum that someone said that they were banned after playing their sister's private dump of Mario Kart 7 online. He also said that he was able to play the retail cart that it was dumped from on her vanilla 9.5 3DS online after the ban.

They might be using something other than headers, just a HEADS UP! (pun definitely intended)
