Electronic Arts has just unveiled the next title in the long-running Need for Speed franchise. Titled "Payback", the game seems to have a little bit of narrative going on, as the trailer focuses on multiple characters talking about revenge. The press release also mentions that there will be three specific playable drivers.

Payback will be developed by Ghost Games, the team behind 2013's negatively received Need for Speed Rivals, but will also include staff members from the shuttered company Critereon, known for making the Burnout series of racing games. Need for Speed Payback is set to launch on November 10 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

A majority of major devs probably aren't gonna put most of their AAA games on Switch.

:sleep:Sucks to be them. They're missing out on what could be the biggest gaming market in history.

Nice trailer, looks like there's some pretty sweet graphics entailed in there; might consider adding this to my Xbox collection. The only NFS titles I have played are Need for Speed Most Wanted for the Original Xbox and Vita, really enjoyed them both, so it would be very nice to see how the more modern versions of NFS are!

Will be a more extreme version of Street Fighter 5, bare bones as hell, you HAVE to pay for extra content.

No. I believe the Switch sold more units than the Wii. The Switch is the Wii U done right. Let's not derail the topic.

"Payback" has to be one of the worst subtitles for a Need for Speed game. However, the game itself might be good.

Another trailer that tells me nothing about the game. Still I am a big fan so I may pick it up on launch day.

IIRC, the previous Ridge Racer was just a Burnout clone than a real RR game. :( I'm hoping Bandai will make a new RR but that will actually be RR.

yeah, if you refuse to get the season pass\dlc and extras, and specially if you pre-order EA will payback and give you a "demo" for 60-80 bucks and call it "the base game"
