I say DSi cause its smaller. you dont really gain anything other than bigger screens and slight pixelation with the DSiXL.

I want an XL but I'm unhappy with the color selection. There are some great new colors for Japan and they're supposed to come out in Europe but no word for the US. I'm not going to pay way more $ to import an XL.

Buying DSi is probably better due the price. The screen difference isn't that important anyway.

At least the XL is an actual upgrade. With the DSi, you don't really gain anything except a new interface :/
