Gaming DSi XL or DSi?

Hi all.

I was wondering. I got an option to either buy the DSi XL or DSi for the recent christmas-ness.

What are the pros and cons?

Here where they're sold its about 16 USD off. meaning the DSi XL is just 16 USD more than DSi.


Are there any specific changes between the two?

DSi XL is bigger than DSi, of course it had a bigger screen for the comfortably of your eyes

2 of them don't really have any difference except the screen size..

I have a DSi but I really want an XL one because of its nice big screen xD

By the way, I'm a Malaysian too xD

Well but doesnt the extra large screen make you wanna go and just buy a tablet. based on portability its kinda lacking with its frickin hugeness.

DSiWare had not been cracked until now..
Battery life (minimum brightness):

* DSi XL - 13 to 17 hours
* DSi - 9 to 14 hours

3DS isn't going to be great at first. Wait for the inevitable upgrade and improvements and price drop. And given Nintendo's history, that won't be long after the initial release.

Anyways, if you're thinking of anything other than the XL, you're thinking wrong. Yes it's a bigger console, but it's still great to have. One of the greatest things is laying back in a couch/lazy boy, plopping the XL on your lap, and enjoying it without any troubles.

And depending on the size of your pockets, it's not too big to lug around. I don't have those big gangster jeans or anything, just regular levi's, and the XL fits nicely in it.

Get the XL.

Oh yeah dsixl battery life last 3 hours longer than dsi.

DSi Mode is like, I'm not the most tech savvy, but if someone wanted to make a homebrew that used the DSi's cameras, they can now. Where as before, they couldn't.

Umm... For me, it's a useless language as it's mostly usable in Malaysia only @.@
I'm well sucked at this language and ALWAYS get the worst rank in my class after the exam report comes out because of Malay this subject -___-

I quit the Malay school this year August and enrolled into a home school with US based teaching material :3 No more Malay and it's just English afterward (I loved English very much) (And yay! No more burden of Malay, this subject that keep dragging me down the path I'm striving toward for xD)

Anyway, are you a Chinese or Malay ??

Wow private school huh. well too bad you dropped Malay. If not you could've been able to talk bad about someone in another language and they wouldn't understand.
Kinda off topic but I'm Malay. Learning Chinese, French, and German.

It's better. Better precision I find when I use the pen stylus. And if you don't want to use it, don't use it. You still get the standard DS stylus.
