Don't even bother to read the topic and post a useless message.

lol.. For all you guys saying this thread being closed would hurt the developement of this project, I don't know what you're talking about, because there is no developement. But still, I don't really see a reason for the thread being closed, except for people like GhostToast. So far, there's two people actually coding DSi homebrew. Loopy and iDSi. In case you don't know, iDSi is the guy making DSiTube. So on the point of closing the thread, I guess I'm neutral.

i think we should change the direction of this topic to the art of brewing beer at home. that'd be awesome.

lol

Actually alcohol tends to make a person more irritable, and, as a result, makes them get pissed off, that's the last thing that this topic needs.

So how much time would it take to homebrew beer. I think I'll make my own homebrew!

Actually iDSi and DSiTube seem around the same calibre as this thread. There is no DSiTube, and his "method" is download a file (which doesn't exist yet), put it on SD and copy it to DSi as a channel, which I think even the people in this thread have now realised is a stupid idea. In all, I'd say he's a n00b, trying to pretend he knows about hacking. Sorry, but the only person who is actually working on DSi homebrew that will actually go somewhere is Loopy, because he has the common key. Although I don't even know if he is actually doing anything or not.

I would say that it has the exact opposite affect on most people.

Back to the topic at hand... Can anybody recommend something so I can start brewing? I'm really rather clueless about where to look.

Are you talking beer or DSi?

Well, you don't need the DSi to start on your project...
Since the hardware is probably going to be pretty similar you could at least design and implement your user interface on the DS using the available tools.

Once the DSi is cracked you can go about adding whatever loader and backend code needed to boot DSi binaries.
Hell, doing it this way you could make a nice loader for DS homebrew as well.

It takes my dad about 6 weeks to make 40 pints.

6 weeks for 40 pints?!?

I'll just cut a few corners... I think I'll make a homebrew called moonshine.

have you ever heard of the ipass flash card.... it was used to boot none DSi specific carts on the DSi

when the "DSi homebrew channel" is developed, i'll sit down with Livin in a box to make an app where you put in the parameters for your brew (desired amount) and it tells you how much of what you need, and how long it will take. it will also schedule for you when to do any subsequent steps.
