not true. It starts in DSi mode, so any hack will be in DSi mode. It may not allow full hardware access, but it'll still be DSi mode, so more likely we'll be able to make a hack of some sort for it. But as you say it doesn't access SD card...but neither did Twilight Princess. So I believe there is hope for us yet with this game. We just need to dump the save from it and hack it and place it back (providing there even is a vulnerability in the game). I doubt that'll happen anytime soon though, and tbh, I reckon they should wait and try to find a hack in a better game, rather than wasting efforts on a game people will then have to fork out money for to use once. And this game may not have a vulnerability, even less an exploitable one. But there is a chance.

There is more than just a hope with this game. In my opinion, this game will give us everything we need to completely hack the DSi.

Perhaps it's time for an English lesson. An opinion refers to how you feel or what you think about a certain topic, an opinion can be something like "I like the color red" as in, it is always right, you can't have an opinion that a game will give you something, that would be like me saying "In my opinion Kingdom Hearts 358/2 is coming to the US tomorrow" or "In my opinion, the dsi can already play any .nds file that I put on the SD Card" It just isn't true, what you stated is something that you thought to be true which in this case, isn't. This game is just going to let use the camera to take a picture, so unless it let's you use a picture off of the sd card, than there is a VERY slim chance that this will allow you to exploit the dsi. And you're right, twilight princess doesn't directly access the sd card, however, it's save data would go into the wii, and you could transfer that to the sd card. However, this is because the Wii's games uses CDs which means that they have to make external saves, while the DS uses cartridges, meaning that they can just put the save data inside the game just like the nes, snes, n64, gb, gbc, and gba did, thus keeping you from making a save game dump.

So in this case, I hate to brake it to you, but your "opinion" is wrong

Just an observation Darkriku... you do know you can backup and restore saves from commercial game carts right? That is still completely possible, just a lot more round about than it'd be on the wii.

You also are judging that we need to find an exploit in the game to break DSi mode... but that isn't necessarily true either. We don't yet know what triggers the DSi into DSi mode... If we can even manage to dump a DSi game, the rom may be able to be disassembled to get what we need (provided the entire rom isn't encrypted with the common key).

So while you're right that the method mentioned may not be plausible... to say that there is no way other than what you explain isn't true either.

It's not a DSi Only game you know, it's a DSi Enhanced game. That would most likely mean it could be ripped like a normal DS game. Decoding it might be a different story.

dsi enchanced games, unlock special features if played on a DSi.
we still can play it on the ds thou.

Is this thread going anywhere?

(Man, it has fewer updates than Mupen64gc)

Keep believing what you feel you need to. I have DSi specific system files i'm working on editing.

A DS game that is DSi enhanced would make it easier for homebrew coders to access the extra features in the DSi. The game could be reverse engineered and traced through to see what calls are made to switch on the DSi extras. That's if the game can be reverse engineered of course.

Won't help wannabe DSiWare pirates though.

Error with this Dsi Brutforcing " NUS 00000003 not found online or locally"

Renes forget about bruteforcing someone already found the key like a month ago and since then no one's really cared about bruteforcing.

No one's sure anymore. Someone called Loopy supposedly found it. Rumoured he's been working on the Homebrew Channel since. But nothing. NOTHING, GOD DAMMIT!

*ahem* Sorry. This thread is just getting annoying with all these people asking where the HBC is- IT'S NOT READY YET, AND IT'S NOT EVEN BEEN ANNOUNCED; WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF ANYONE IS WORKING ON IT!

Not to sound like a buzz kill but is there any proof it's even been found? much less how it was found? I'd like at least a proof of concept video

Irony in action!!!

This thread is really a joke, but seriously if anybody that can ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTE has something of value (you must at least know how to program), you should join us at #dsidev on EFnet.
