You should get @Brand Newman on this one if possible. He is the Goat in translating games from japanese to english subtitles. Maybe it's easier to do it from scratch than to deal with the playstation sound files of the game. Japanese audio and english subtitles would be really great for this one

Thank you for the compliment ! I have never tried translating a Wii U game, and from my experience, the discs are harder to explore (I don't know if you've ever copied your retail discs to your hard drive, but it ends up with a lot of files I don't really know about).

I've taken "a break" on translation for this year, as I'm currently colorizing a game boy game (you didn't think I'd let a year pass without some exciting project?) : but maybe some day I'll take a look?

Good luck bro. I know it's probably obvious in 2026 but you can use AI to greatly help you achieve this

In the decrypted game files, in the content folder there's two folders: Ogre1 and Ogre2 which probably stand for Yakuza 1 and Yakuza 2. I went into Ogre1 folder and there was 6 files:
Ogre1_Debug.cpk
Ogre1_Media1.cpk
Ogre1_Media2.cpk
Ogre1_Media3_1.cpk
Ogre1_Media3_2.cpk
Ogre1_Media3_3.cpk

I decided to list them using YACpkTool and here it is:
