You must also downgrade the System Version to display system menu 1.4
Otherwise it still appears 1.4.5

I didn't bother, because it's neither 1.4 or 1.4.5. Is it just cosmetic or does it make a difference to shop access?

I was tempted to install 1.1 version data, which would be an indication of something odd going on.

The Biggest Loser is the only known exploitable DSi-Enhanced (DSi-Mode) game available that still runs on 1.4.5 Firmware. In order to install the exploit you will need to borrow an original DS, or DS Lite. You will also need a DS Flashcart that works on that DS or DS Lite.

Insert your DS Flashcarts SD card into your computer, and copy either the file "TB_loser_inject_EU.nds", for the EU region, or "TB_loser_inject_US.nds", for the US region, to your flashcart. Put your flashcarts SD back in your flashcart, and put your flashcart in your DS/DSLite. Start your flashcart, and run the nds file you just copied. It will be named "SaveInjector" in most flashcart menus. It will prompt you to eject your flashcart, and insert your copy of "The Biggest Loser". Do that, and press [start] on your DS/DSLite to inject the hacked save. Once it finishes, turn off your DS/DSLite and eject your copy of "The Biggest Loser", and insert it into your DSi/XL. Start the game, and after the loading screens, you will be presented with your CID, displayed on-screen, in alternating colours. Type that into another text file, and save it for later. It is the second part of your console's NAND encryption.
cant i just do that on the dsi? i have a flashcart that works on it...

It's only cosmetic.

do you think this would work with hardmod?
You'll need a microSD to SD adapter. But not all are compatible.

Hello,

I have the first version of SudokuHAX installed in my DSI, when I had version 1.3.x

Now I'm on 1.4.5 and the exploit still works.

I am able to make a NAND-Dump and CID Dump from FWTool

Is it possible to follow this guide without Hard-Mod using the NAND Dump from FWTool?

What things do I have to keep in mind to know that the NAND Dump is correct?

Thanks :)
First version of sudoku won't give you a proper CID tho.

AFAICT I was on v2 of sudokuhax and I couldn't get the correct CID either. I used biggest loser in the end, although supposedly there is a sudokuhax online that can do it (I haven't tried as I don't want to risk messing mine up).

I have 2 questions,
1: is there any step by step guide to retrieving the CID with a Raspberry Pi model 1 B?
2: is there any place for a hardmod easy IO port on the normal Dsi?

I haven't done it, but I know a bit of the concept, once you get the hardmod done, connect it to raspberrypi, then
Code:
cat /sys/block/mmcblk0/device/cid
the tricky part is, you need to boot the pi with a usb drive, then connect the hardmod to pi's native sd card reader, usually pi boot from that sd card.

By the way, some builtin sd card reader should work as long as they're real SD card readers. Just insert any sd card, if the device name is /dev/mmcblk? not /dev/sd?, you're good to go.

There's a pecial version of linux who load itself in the memory of the PI (permit to swap SD)
