robz can you make it so on the cheats menu it shows an X next to cheat groups if one of the cheats in them is enabled (to easily disable cheats)

Hi,

Quick question: Does the Widescreen patch only work if I launch the game directly through Twilight Menu ? So for example if I launch Mario 64 through Twilight Menu it works in full screen, but if I launch the same game through my DSTWO flashcart that's been launched from Twilight Menu (you follow me?) it's just in the standard mode.

Yes, that's normal.

Hello.:)

I also tried the US Version (TID:YSLE).No change of any In Game Settings.
On the first Boot it takes a little Time (Save/Bootstrap and so on)
On the next Boot it takes about 10 seconds and the Game works.

So what is B4DS? For flashcards? But why? Isn't it better to just start the DS games directly from the flashcard?

Hello.:)

I think it means for Users who run TWiLight Menu from an supported Flashcard.
The supported
  • Acekard 2i (Cannot launch games)
  • R4 Ultra (regular, not R4i) (r4ultra.com)
When use TWiLight instead of for example YSMenu or the R4 Menu.:)

I think....:D

Thank you guys for the help... I already solved the problem. I have to erase the .bin file in fatTable and patchOffsetCache folder inside the _nds/nds-bootstrap and change the arm9CPU Speed into 67 MHz (NTR). Is there difference between 67MHz and 133Mhz in most games?

The flashcards you listed are for directly accessing it from TWLMenu++ on the SD card.
B4DS is for flashcard users who want to use TWLMenu++ instead of the flashcard kernel's menu.
It's also for flashcards that can't run DS games, such as ARDS(i) and Games n' Music.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
