Yes. Seems too simple I guess. You do get more skills the more you move forward in the story. I wish the Magic bar regenerates though.

I was bugged by the Icon as well.. "like, I smell image theft." It's good, but not that good.

okay, im gonna defend this game, mainly because i really find it great. In a sense that its a solid retro-styled platformer, and its not some 'next gen' remake, it stays true to the original but adds, a lot of things to keep it updated.,

the boss battles remind me of games like cannon dancer, strider, and the original nina gaiden games.. if you're a fan of those, you might like this.

PS - kage highest fucking jumper in videogame history, screw mario

I only played it for a few minutes, but I like it. It's kinda like Contra meets Castlevania, but with its own unique style. I love those high ninja jumps my character can do. I must suck, though, `cause I died very quickly.

Excellent game, really hope it comes out over here which it should seeing Taito have released their other retro titles. For me, game of the week which is a surprised as I expected just to think it was good.

Seriously, this game is awesome. it starts off weak, but you constantly get new attacks and moves that make everything awesome.
Check gamefaqs for a menu translation.

Apparently this release has been replaced by the Caravan release simply because of the icon.

You know, like it matters.
